Stacioni me ushqim të sigurtë për shkabat, ndërtuar nga AOS në bashkëpunim me AdZM Gjirokastër, në Parkun Kombëtar Bredhi i Hotoves-Dangëlli, vizitohet rregullisht nga Kali i qyqes.
Imazhet nga kamerat e vendosura në stacion, tregojnë për praninë pothuajse të përditshme të Kalit të qyqes që ushqehem me ushqimin e depozituar nga AOS dhe Azm Qarku Gjirokaster.
Ky lajm i mrekullueshëm, kurorëzon me sukses punën dy vjeçare për ndërtimin dhe funksionimin e stacionit të ushqimit ku veçojmë:
a) Faza I – Vlerësimi i nevojës për ushqim të sigurtë suplementar në verën e vitit 2021,
b) Faza II – Pilotimi i disa pikave të përshtatshme për ndërtimin e stacionit në verën e vitit 2021,
c) Faza III – Ndërtimin i stacionit të ushqimit në fillim të vitit 2022, për të qënë gati për sezonin e folezimit,
d) Faza IV – Furnizimi i vazhdueshëm me ushqim shtesë për shkabat dhe shpend të tjerë dhe
e) Faza V – Monitorimi me kamera kurth dhe analizimi i imazheve digitale.
Stacionet me ushqim të sigurtë suplementar për Kalin e qyqes përbëjnë një nga veprimet e suksesshme konservuese për specien duke synuar parandalimin e helmimit të individëve.
Stacioni në Parkun Kombëtar Bredhi i Hotovës-Dangëlli i shërben njërit prej çifteve të Kalit të qyqes në Shqipëri, i cili përdor këtë territor për të folezuar. Vitin e shkuar, ky cift, arriti sukses riprodhimi mjaft te lartë, duke çelur e rritur dy pasardhës.
Megjithë masat konservuese, popullata e Kalit të qyqes në Shqipëri vazhdon të ketë ende një numër mjaft të kufizuar prej 8 territoresh dhe 6 ciftesh folezues sipas të dhënave 2022 nga AOS dhe PPNEA.
Ndërsa shijojmë fotot e individit folezues në stacion, le të shpresojmë për një sezon sa më të mbarë folezimi të Kalit të Qyqes në Shqipëri!

The station with safe food for vultures, built by AOS in cooperation with AdZM Gjirokastër, in Bredhi i Hotoves-Dangëlli National Park, is regularly visited by the Egyptian vulture.
The images from the cameras located at the station show for the daily presence of the Egyptian Vulture, feeding on the supplementary food offered by AOS-Albanian Ornithological SocietyOS and AdZM Gjirokastwr.
This wonderful news successfully crowns two years of work for the construction and operation of the station with the following highlights:
a) Phase I – Assessment of the need for safe supplementary food in the summer of 2021,
b) Phase II – Piloting several points suitable for the construction of the station in the summer of 2021,
c) Phase III – Construction of the feeding station in the beginning of year 2022, to be ready for the nesting season,
d) Phase IV – Continuous supply of the station with supplementary food for vultures and other birds and
e) Phase V – Monitoring with camera traps and analysis of the digital pictures.
Stations with safe supplementary food for the Egyptian vulture are considered one of the successful conservation actions for the species aimed at preventing poisoning of specimens.
The station in Bredhi i Hotovë-Dangëlli National Park serves to one of the Egyptian Vulture pairs in our country, which uses this territory for nesting. Last year, this pair achieved quite high breeding success, hatching and fledgling of two offspring.
Despite the conservation measures, the Egyptian Vulture population in Albania still has a limited number of 8 territories and 6 breeding pairs according to 2022 data from AOS and PPNEA.
While we can enjoy the photos of the nesting individual at the station, let’s hope for a successful nesting season of the Egyptian Vulture in Albania!
