The conservation of birds and their critical habitats demands among others knowledge, strong technical capacities and better public awareness. We achieved the integration of those three objectives through the bird banding camp in the Reedbeds of Rrushkull (Durrës) with the students of Polis University. We explained the importance of bird ringing, we explored better the species populating our reedbeds, evaluated them as important but very threatened habitats and delivered the message of the protection of those habitats and the birds they shelter. It was definitively a good experience which AOS will continue to develop further in the future.
