Conservation of the Egyptian vulture, supported again by high decision-making levels in Albania

Many thanks to the Deputy Minister of Touris and Environment, Mrs. Ornela Cuci for promoting the conservation of the Egyptian Vulture (π˜•π˜¦π˜°π˜±π˜©π˜³π˜°π˜― 𝘱𝘦𝘳𝘀𝘯𝘰𝘱𝘡𝘦𝘳𝘢𝘴) in Albania.

“Can you imagine the emotion of these photos?

Because in this country there is still as much passion for nature, as there is love! The work of these professionals makes us all proud!

The Egyptian vulture (Neophron percnopterus) is the only nesting vulture in Albania. Once common throughout the country, today it is found only in 8 (eight) occupied territories, located mainly in the valley of Vjosa and Drino. The entire Albanian population is very small. It is represented today with only 5 couples and 3 lonely individuals,” writes Mrs. Cuci on her Facebook post.

This important cause for nature conservation needs the support of everyone, politicians, decision-makers, responsible citizens all over the country.

AOS and other national and international partners, remain fully engaged in the conservation of the last breeding Vulture species of Albania.
