A very important and promising finding for the biodiversity of the Divjaka-Karavasta National Park. At last, the Great Spotted Eagle was observed again in Divjaka. On the 15th of January 2017, we observed it for just one second as entering swiftly in the darkness of Kulari forest (Divjaka). Today, we were even more lucky to spot and take e few pictures from the distance as it was patrolling with its wingspan of 1,5-1,8 m above the flooded land north of Karavasta lagoon. Another example that should motivate us all for protecting this jewel of Albania, Mediterranean basin and Europe.
