AL| Ekipi AOS monitoroi shtatë territore të Kalit të Qyqes në datat 11-14 Prill 2022 për të kontrolluar praninë e kësaj specie globalisht të rrezikuar në disa prej territoreve të saj në Shqipëri.
Monitorimi dhe të dhënat satelitore më të fundit, provuan se tre prej territoreve të kontrolluara po përdoren tashmë nga Kali i Qyqes. Dy territore janë të zëna nga dy cifte të ndërsa një territor mbulohet deri më tani nga vetëm një individ adult.
Pavarësisht vështirësive të punës, ekipi AOS i përbërë nga 5 persona përjetoi në terren momente spektakolare sikurse fluturimi me rrokullisje apo kollotumba në ajër, lufta për territor me individë të tjerë të Kalit të Qyqes, përplasja me korbat apo prania e specieve të tjera përshirë shqiponja, gjeraqina, skiftere, huta, lejlekë etj.
Ndryshe nga sezoni i shkuar, këtë sezon folezimi, Kali i Qyqes mirëpritet në Shqipëri me një stacion të ri ushqimi të sigurtë, të ndërtuar rishtas në Parkun Kombëtar “Bredhi i Hotovës-Dangëlli”. Ky stacion do shërbejë më së miri për një prej çifteve të Kalit të Qyqes dhe mjaft shpendëve të tjerë që ushqehen me mish dhe kërma. Stacioni është pajisur githashtu me kamera prej ku pritet të marrim fotografi mjaft të bukura nga kjo shkabë e veçantë.
Ndërkohë që presim mbërritjen e individëve të tjerë të Kalit të qyqes në Shqipëri, AOS dhe partnerët në Shqipëri dhe Ballkan vazhdojnë të punojmë për të siguruar një sezon folezimi sa më të mbarë dhe reduktim të rreziqeve që vijnë nga helmimi, shqetësimi, përplasja dhe elektroshoku me infrastrukturën e energjisë.

AOS monitored seven territories of the Egyptian Vulture on 11-14 April 2022 to check the presence of this globally endangered species in some of its territories in Albania.
The latest monitoring and satellite data proved that three of the controlled territories are being occupied by the Egyptian Vulture. Two territories are used by two breeding pairs, while one territory is occupied so far by only one individual.
Despite the difficulties of the work, the AOS team, consisting of 5 people, witnessed spectacular moments on the field, such as: somersaulting while flying, fighting for territory with other individuals of the Egyptian Vulture, skirmishing with ravens or the presence of other species, including eagles, hawks, buzzards, storks, etc.
Unlike the last season, this breeding season, the Egyptian vulture is welcomed with a new safe food station, built in the upper part of the Vjosa valley, within the territory of the National Park ”Hotova-Dangëlli”. This station will serve to it best to one of the pairs of Egyptian Vulture and quite a few other birds that feed on carrions. The station is equipped with cameras, and we expect to take very beautiful photos of this special vulture.
While we wait for the arrival of other Egyptian Vulture individuals in Albania, AOS and partners in Albania and the Balkans continue to work on ensuring a better breeding season and reducing the risks of poisoning, disturbance, collision and electric shock with power infrastructure. https://lifeneophron.eu/#home
