The Albanian Ornithological Society (AOS), in collaboration with the Faculty of Natural Sciences, University of Tirana, is happy to announce the Second Ornithological Conference in Albania (SOCA 2025).
Following the success of the first edition in 2022, this event will once again bring together ornithologists, conservationists, students, researchers and nature enthusiasts from Albania and abroad. Over three days, participants will share new research, discuss pressing conservation challenges and build networks to strengthen ornithology and bird protection in the region.

Bird population trends, migration ecology, citizen science and new analytical tools. - Species and Habitat Conservation
Flagship and threatened species, wetlands, forests, migratory corridors, restoration approaches and human–wildlife interactions. - Capacity Building & Community Engagement

Science-based advocacy, EU Birds and Habitats Directives, protected area governance and Albania’s new policy frameworks.
