Grievance Mechanism – Remeber Gjirokastra Project

The Albanian Ornithological Society (AOS) is committed to implementing this project in a socially and environmentally responsible manner. As part of this commitment, we have established a grievance mechanism to provide affected communities and other stakeholders with a safe and effective way to raise concerns, submit complaints, or express dissatisfaction related to project activities.

Who can use this mechanism?

This mechanism may be used by community members, local stakeholders, project participants, and other affected persons who wish to raise a concern related to the project.

What kinds of concerns can be submitted?

Grievances may relate to any issue connected to the project, including concerns about project activities, community engagement, access to information, environmental or social impacts, staff conduct, or any other issue affecting stakeholders.

How stakeholders will be informed

Stakeholders will be informed about the objectives of the project and the existence of this grievance mechanism through:

  • leaflets distributed during the project period in key public areas, including municipal buildings, schools, community centers, and local farms
  • announcements during outreach events and workshops
  • information published on the AOS website

Information will be made available in local languages as needed to support accessibility.
