Premiere Screening of Documentary “Hileja” 2024 at Agimi Art Center

🎬 On December 4, 2024, the documentary “Hileja” by Ola Mitre premiered with an impressive turnout of civil society organizations, donors, academics, and nature enthusiasts.

The screening was followed by an engaging discussion moderated by Besjana Shehu, founder of AOS, highlighting key challenges facing Protected Areas in Albania.

🎤 Speakers included:

 

    • Ola Mitre, Hileja’s director, on the role of media in raising environmental awareness.

    • Taulant Bino, AOS President, on the need for sustainable conservation policies.

    • Anila Salianji, Smart Balkans at IDM, on strengthening collaboration and donor support.

    • Irena Dule & Elvana Tivari, lawyers, on the legal implications of recent amendments.

    • Genti Kromidha, INCA, on the urgency of addressing legislative changes.

Audience voices emphasized the need to challenge recent law amendments in the Constitutional Court and foster stronger collaboration to protect Albania’s natural heritage.
