๐๐ถ๐ฟ๐ฑ๐๐ ๐ฎ๐ฌ๐ฎ๐ฌ ๐๐น๐ฏ๐ฎ๐ป๐ถ๐ฎย conducted the succeeding sessions of the ๐๐ถ๐ฟ๐ฑ ๐๐ฑ๐ฒ๐ป๐๐ถ๐ณ๐ถ๐ฐ๐ฎ๐๐ถ๐ผ๐ป ๐๐ผ๐๐ฟ๐๐ฒย on ๐ก๐ผ๐๐ฒ๐บ๐ฏ๐ฒ๐ฟ ๐ณ-๐ด, ๐ฎ๐ฌ๐ฎ๐ฌ. We visited familiar locations, but this time with some entertaining twists.
On the third session of the course, November 7, the students once again visited the ๐๐ฟ๐ฎ๐ป๐ฑ ๐ฃ๐ฎ๐ฟ๐ธ ๐ผ๐ณ ๐ง๐ถ๐ฟ๐ฎ๐ป๐ฎ.This time the focal point were the song birds that live in the forested habitats. Specific emphasis was given this time to birds sounds and songs. The students were lucky to observe and hear some 25ย species, nine of which were new to them. The most interesting encounters of the day were the ๐๐ผ๐บ๐บ๐ผ๐ป ๐ช๐ผ๐ผ๐ฑ ๐ฃ๐ถ๐ด๐ฒ๐ผ๐ป (Columba palumbus), the ๐๐ผ๐บ๐บ๐ผ๐ป ๐๐๐๐๐ฎ๐ฟ๐ฑ (Buteo buteo), the ๐ฆ๐๐ฟ๐ถ๐ฎ๐ป ๐๐ผ๐ผ๐ฑ๐ฝ๐ฒ๐ฐ๐ธ๐ฒ๐ฟ (Dendrocopos syriacus), the ๐๐น๐๐ฒ ๐ง๐ถ๐ (Cyanistes caeruleus), the ๐๐๐ฟ๐ฎ๐๐ถ๐ฎ๐ป ๐ก๐๐๐ต๐ฎ๐๐ฐ๐ต (Sitta europaea) etc.
On November 8, at the requested of a number of students, AOS conducted another theoretical session. Its purpose was to build on the previous knowledge acquired during the first two sessions. The students were able to learn more about the online program and its multiple features like the Picture exercise, the Sound exercise, the Bird Guide, etc.
Despite the initial difficulties that our students have encountered in identifying birds, their desire to learn shows that at the end of this course,
