Position: Communication Expert
Location: Tirana, Albania
Type: Full-time Contract
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive communication strategy to enhance the organization’s visibility, reputation, and engagement with key stakeholders.
- Create compelling and persuasive content for various communication channels, including websites, social media, press releases, newsletters, and reports.
- Manage the organization’s social media presence, monitoring and engaging with the online community to strengthen our brand and promote our initiatives.
- Coordinate media relations and act as a spokesperson for the organization when necessary.
- Produce high-quality multimedia materials, including videos, infographics, and visuals, to convey complex messages in an accessible manner.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure consistent messaging and branding across all communication materials.
- Monitor communication trends and developments, recommending innovative approaches to improve our communication strategies.
- Measure and evaluate the effectiveness of communication initiatives, using data-driven insights to refine future campaigns.
Requirements:
- Master’s degree in Communication, Journalism, Public Relations, or a related field.
- Proven experience of at least 5-five years in a similar role, preferably within the nature conservation sector.
- Excellent writing and editing skills, with the ability to tailor content for various audiences and communication platforms.
- Strong knowledge of social media platforms and experience managing social media accounts for the AOS.
- Proficiency in graphic design and multimedia software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite) to create visually engaging materials. Proficiency in photography and videography to capture high-quality visual content for communication materials.
- Demonstrated experience in media relations, including building relationships with journalists and managing media inquiries.
- Understanding of AOS’s focus areas and having a passion for making a positive impact on protecting wildlife in Albania and beyond.
- Collaborative Approach: Ability to work collaboratively within a diverse team and independently when required. A team-oriented mindset, valuing collaboration and open communication within the organization and with external partners.
- Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
- Knowledge or interest in environmental and conservation issues and understanding the challenges and opportunities associated with the AOS’s focus area.
- Storytelling: The ability to craft compelling and emotionally resonant stories that effectively convey the AOS’s mission and impact
- Public Speaking: Confidence and skill in public speaking engagements, such as presenting at conferences, workshops, or public events.
